K-6 Social Studies Materials Available for Review

The Cartwright Elementary School District will adopt new K-6 social studies materials for the 2011-2012 school year, and the public is invited to review those under consideration and leave comments through March 28, 2012. (read more)

Students Return to Newly Remodeled Sunset Campus

As part of the bond issue approved by voters last November,  Sunset Elementary School, 6601 W. Osborn Road, underwent renovation. Students returned to their newly renovated campus on January 4, 2012 after spending the first part of the school year on the former Byron A. Barry School campus.  Thanks again to voters for approving the bond issue.

Cartwright School District Received a "B" from Arizona Department of Education

The following chart shows the academic progress made by Cartwright School District schools over the past four years.  We are very proud of our student achievement growth and remain focused on continuous academic improvement for every student.

Target and Heart of America Renovate Peralta School Library

On October 7, 2011, Peralta Elementary School’s new library opened its doors.  Thanks to Target Corporation and the Heart of America organization, Peralta’s library received a makeover including new paint, carpet, furniture, computers, and 2,000 new library books. (read more)
